I wish I had time to post.  I wish I had time to do more than sit still for a few moments, but it is not to be.

Family arrive on Wednesday.
Hubby graduates (and gets promoted) on Thursday.
Boy ends school on Friday.
Weekend visiting family.
Movers come on Tuesday, stay till Thursday.
Long weekend cleaning
Hubby flies Tuesday
Kitties fly one week later.

We are slowly but surely doing better.  The Boy went to schol today and came home with a note.  Not surprisingly he had not been paying attention in class.  He also handed me some artwork he had done during indoor recess.  It is a drawing of him crying into two buckets with an upside down cat at his feet.  Above the picture he wrote that he was sad ( Read more... )

The boy just told me that I should think about a new color for my hair.  He says that my hair has been one color for far too long.

It was good to be in the US, and three weeks was just about right. Three weeks allowed me to see almost everyone and to give the boy a big dose of the culture. There were a few sad moments, as well as a bunch of tense long minutes, but all in all it was a positive visit.

Can't wait to get home. We leave tomorrow, after one last whirlwind trip. I have managed to put 2000 miles on the rental car, and I am looking forward to having someone else at the wheel!

The boy had a full out breakdown today.  He came home and told me right away that he had lots of homework.  He has been working really hard,  so this was unusual.  I asked him what had happened today and he began screaming that it wasn't his fault and that he had tried but that he had done spelling work all day and could not do anything else.  I ( Read more... )
